BREAKING NEWS: I-40 westbound blocked by overturned vehicle

An overturned vehicle at the Davidson County line with Wilson County has westbound traffic backed up on Interstate 40 Tuesday afternoon.

The incident was reported at 3:50 p.m. at mile marker 222.8, and Tennessee Department of Transportation officials estimate it will be cleared by 4:50 p.m.

TDOT officials said westbound traffic is affected as crews try to remove the vehicle from the roadway. Officials said eastbound traffic is also affected with "rubbernecking delays."
