Blue Devils advance to State Bowling Tournament

Lebanon's boys reached the TSSAA State Bowling Tournament for the first time following Tuesday's 17.5-9.5 win over Hendersonville in the sectional.
The Blue Devils were the home team after winning the Region 5 championship over Independence. They earlier took the District 10 title with a win over Wilson Central.
On the girls' side, Wilson Central fell one win short of returning to State with a 16-11 loss to host Hendersonville on Tuesday.
The Lady Wildcats were Region 4 runners up to Independence after having taken the District 10 title over Mt. Juliet.
Lebanon will face Collierville in the opening match of the State Tournament at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Smyrna Bowling Center.
Columbia and Greeneville will meet in the other half of the bracket with the winners to meet at 9 a.m. Saturday in the semifinals. In the other bracket are Seymour, Walker Valley, Bartlett and Upperman with the finals set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Already in the State as individual qualifiers are Lebanon's Andrew Lawrence, Central's Kyle Hubbuch and Mike Murrell and Mt. Juliet sisters Elizabeth and Jessica Giacobbi, Hanna Hayes and Melodie Keaton.
