Ruby Bell Anderson Davis
Services for Mrs. Davis will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Eld. Junior Dickerson officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davis, 95, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at University Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nettie Anderson. She and her husband operated the former South Maple Market for many years. She was a homemaker and member of College Hills Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, John Jewell Davis; daughter, Joy Murphy McKnight; four sisters, Ruth Anderson, Lula Mundy, Margaruite Lindsley and Gladys Dyer; and four brothers, Lloyd, Jess, Alvin and Billy Anderson. Survivors include: three children, Rita Owens of Carthage and Gail Davis and James Gentry, bth of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Danny Wayne Owens of Carthage and Christy and Kim Davis, both of Lebanon; great-grandsons, Zach Owens and Travis Grisham of Carthage; and brother, Robert Anderson of Tucson, Ariz.
Pallbearers will be Zach Owens, Traivs Grisham, Lee Stem, Phil Hailey, and Dale and Tim Owens.
Alice Campbell McMillan
Services for Mrs. McMillan will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 31 at JC Hellum Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick Smith officiating. Interment will be in Benevolent Cemetery in Mt. Juliet. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday and noon until the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McMillan, 48, of Mt. Juliet, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at her residence.
Survivors include: father, Charlie Roy Campbell; sisters, Deborah (Billy) Davis, Barbara (Ernest) Marshall and Denise (Gary) Butler; adopted sisters, Machelle Searcy and Carol Blair, all of Mt. Juliet; adopted brother, Patrick V. Smith of Nassau, Bahamas; step-grandmother, Elizabeth Clark; uncles, Walter E. Clark and Dee Rhodes; aunt, Teresa Fleming, all of Lebanon; and many other relatives and friends.
