Estel "Shorty" Fleming
Services for Mr. Fleming will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26 at Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Rob Amason officiating. Interment will be in Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Fleming, 81, of Brush Creek, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at Riverview Regional Medical Center. He was a retired diesel mechanic, World War II Army veteran, a Shriner and 32nd degree Mason.
He was preceded in death by parents, L.C. and Dora Harris Fleming; six brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: wife of 60 years, Rachel Hawkins Fleming; son, Wayne Fleming of Brush Creek; daughter, Barbara Askew of Brush Creek; grandchildren, Brad (Judy) Askew of Brush Creek and Brian Askew of Murfreesboro; sister, Anna Lee Smith of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.
Rondall "Ronnie" Gene Mitchell
Services for Mr. Mitchell will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 27 at Wilson County Funeral Home. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Mitchell, 56, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at University Medical Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by father, Alonzo Mitchell Jr.; mother, Mary Irene Stubblefield; and step-father, Hildred Stubblefield. Survivors include: wife, Teresa Mitchell; children, Shirley Mofield of Carthage, Rhonda Mitchell, Penny (Lee) Cowley, Glenda (Jason) Bowes and Vickei Bradley, all of Lebanon; sisiter, Linda Howell of Lebanon; and 15 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Carolyn "Tots" Smith
Services for Miss Smith will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 27 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Walker officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Miss Smith, 89, of Gladeville, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at her sister's residence. She was retired from Dupont after 30 years of service. She was a member of Gladeville United Methodist Church and the Bible Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by parents, Wade and Minnie Partlow Smith; two brothers, Wade Jr. and William Newton Smith. Survivors include: two sisters, Margaret Hogwood and Louise Parton of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be James Thomas, David and Dr. Mike Harris, Bob Rice, Wayne Foster, Glen O. Hamblin, Douglas Jones, Bobby PArton and Jimmy Carter Martin.
The family requests memorials be made to Gladeville United Methodist Church Buiding Fund or Alive Hospice.
