John William Burke Jr.

Mr. Burke, 84, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012.
He was preceded in death by: parents, John W. and Martha Burke Sr.; brother, William Saltkill; and sisters, Mary Rusin and Lena Morris.
Survivors include: wife, Peggy Burke; children, Barbara (Charles) Taylor, Kathy (Scott) Crawford and Adam Burke; brother, Albert Burke; grandchildren, Brandon Martin, Chad Taylor and Tyler Burke; and great-granddaughter, Lexie Taylor.

Memorial services for Ms. Duke will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at Nelson & Sons Memorial Chapel.
Ms. Duke, 49, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
Survivors include: parents, Joe Howard and Marjorie Anne Brown; daughters, Amanda Pickelsimer, Amber Emberton and Sunnye Duke; sons, James Chapman and Jeremy Duke; brother, Kenneth Norman; and several aunts and uncles.

Elbert 'Bud' Harris Jr.
Memorial services for Mr. Harris will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at CrossStyle Church in Lebanon.
Mr. Harris, 63, of Carthage, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Riverview Regional Medical Center North. He was born in Overton Co. to the late Elbert Harris, Sr. and Girlie May Honeycutt.
He was preceded in death by: parents; and sister, Sallie Mai Wilson.
Survivors include: children, Jamie (Christi) Harris, Buddy Harris and partner Ken Clapp and Audry (Pete) Bain, all of Lebanon; brother, Willie Alan Harris of Baxter; sisters, Bessie Sells of Jamestown, Tenn. and Fannie Howard of Deer Lodge, Tenn.; mother of his children, LeeDale Harris Frye of Lebanon; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Joseph House 'Joe' Stallings
Funeral services for Mr. Stallings will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Mathis and Michael Stallings officiating. Interment in Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 30 and noon until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Stallings, 81, of Watertown, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Smith County Health Care Center in Carthage. He was born in July of 1930 in Davidson Co., to the late Joe and Etta House Stallings. He was a licensed funeral director in the state of Tennessee for over 52 years and a member of the First Baptist Church in Watertown. He played several string instruments, but was best known as a fiddle player.
Survivors include: wife of 53 years, Joyce Burks Stallings; son, Michael (Claudia) Stallings of Knoxville; daughter, Lanita Harris of Hermitage; grandchildren, Garrison and Jonathan Stallings and Mia Harris; and son-in-law, Stuart Harris of Hermitage.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Business Men’s Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Watertown.
