A 60-year-old man was critically injured after a structure fire Jan. 30 at 631 Beckwith Road in Mt. Juliet. The structure fire started at a bumper camper that was parked in a barn-like structure, according to Joey Cooper, director of the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency. The man was in life-threatening condition with second- and third-degree burns. He was taken via LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated. WEMA firefighters worked to extinguish the fire at the site after the victim was taken to the hospital.
