The 12th annual Wilson Books from Birth Imagination Dinner was held April 6 in the Wilson County Exposition Center, the first time in the venue. Locals dressed in a variety of costumes – many inspired by children’s books – filled the South Hall in the expo center. Each table followed a theme, with matching waiters, and groups faced good-natured challenges, a long-running staple of the event. In 2016, the event had 39 tables. That number increased to 44 in April, according to Peggy Simpson, director of Wilson Books from Birth.
