Lebanon wins twice over Riverdale

Lebanon's girls defeated visiting Riverdale 5-2 while the boys prevailed 4-3 Tuesday at Cumberland.
Both teams split their doubles matches before Lebanon won the singles.
Doubles winners for the Devilettes were Chelsea Fyke and Sarah Morgan over Ashley Lewis and Jessie Hoaglin 8-4. Singles winners were Fyke over Lewis 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 [7-4 in the tiebreaker]; Courtney Fyke over Hoaglin 6-7 [4-7 in the tiebreaker], 6-1, 6-1; Morgan over Hannah McGowen 8-4 and Kacey Conatser over Christina Kilburn 8-6 as Lebanon improved to 8-2 overall and 4-2 in District 7-AAA.
Riverdale's winners were McGowen and Kilburn over Conatser and Courtney Fyke 8-6 and Anne Guiler over Samantha McElfresh 9-8 [11-9 in the tiebreaker].
Winners for the Blue Devils were Ben Fennell and Patrick Jones over Kevin Kryof and Jordan Edwards 9-7, Fennell over Josh Miller 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 [7-5 in the tiebreaker]; Peter Misaiphon over Arash Kushef 8-5 and Jones ove Preston Petty 8-5 as Lebanon improved to 4-6, 3-3.
Riverdale winners were Miller and Jonathan Foti over Jonathan Do and Andrew Puryear 8-1, Foti over Do 7-6 [7-3 in the tiebreaker] and Kryof over Puryear 8-3.
Lebanon will travel to Cookeville for the Joe Lee Rodgers Tournament beginning at 9 a.m. Friday and running through Saturday.

FCS sweeps White House, Ezell-Harding
Friendship Christian's girls breezed to a 6-2 win while the boys prevailed 8-1 over White House at Coles Ferry Recreation Center on Tuesday.
Singles winners for the Lady Commanders were Katie Mitchell over Kristen Burgett 8-3, Hannah Neal over Daniele Miller 9-8 and Jenna Hazelwood over Sarah Townsend 8-0.
The Lady Commanders swept the doubles with Mitchell and Hazelwood beat Leftwich and Mekala Payne 8-1, Neal and Carly Warmath defeated Coleman and Patterson 8-1 and Cindy Hazelwood and Neal shut out Miller and Chapman 8-0 as Friendship improved to 8-2.
Winners for the Lady Devils were Payne over Ashley Ayub 8-4 and Hazelwood over Warmath 8-1.
Singles winners for the Commanders were Dillon Bane over Ethan McPherson 8-0, Jonathan Huddlestonover Dale Sweeney 8-1, Michael Smith over Taylor Parks 8-3, Stephen Porter over Danny Criss 8-1 and Trey Farmer over Colby Swift 8-2.
The Commanders swept the three doubles matches. Bane and Huddleston blanked McPherson and Parks 8-0, Porter and Farmer stopped Sweeney and Criss 8-3 and Smith and Jordan Huddleston defeated Swift and Wallace 8-1 as Friendship improved to 9-1.
White House's only winner was Greg Heyn over Ryan Hayward 8-6.
Friendship's girls edged host Ezell-Harding 4-3 Monday while the boys prevailed 6-1 at Nashboro Village.
The Lady Commanders won the singles matches 3-2 and split the two doubles sets.
Singles winners for the Lady Commanders were Paige Watson over Kara Davis 8-6, Christen Tressler over Jada Walker 8-2 and Ayub over Keeley Weatherley.
Watson and Tressler topped Davis and Walker 8-3 in doubles as the Lady Commanders climbed to 7-2 for the season.
Winners for Ezell were Katie Bogle over Amanda Ferrell 8-4, Kayla Hensley over Laura Wilson 8-3 and Bogle and Weatherly over Ferrell and Ayub.
Friendship's boys dropped their No. 1 singles match as Erick Hale doubled up Bane 8-4.
But the Commanders swept their other matches.
Singles winners for the Commanders were Andrew Neely over Preston Deatheridge 8-3, Jordan Huddleston over Trey Weatherly 8-2, Hunter Harwell over Kirk Willis 8-2 and Jonathan Huddleston over Will Snodgrass 8-2.
Doubles winners were Bane and Neely over Hale and Deatheridge 8-6 and the Huddleston brothers over Weatherly and Willis 8-0.
Friendship will travel to the Ridgetop Tennis Center on Thursday for a match against Greenbrier.
