Icelyn Elie qualifies for Sprring Fling pentathlon

Icelyn Elie became Lebanon's first athlete to qualify for the State Track Meet, finishing second in the pentathlon Monday.
She finished second in the five-event competition. Elie ran the 100-meter high hurdles in 16 seconds, threw the shot put 28-1, won the high jump with a leap of 5-1, went 16-3 in the long jump and ran the 800 in 2:49.
Her 2,832 points trailing only two-time state runner up Rachael Robb of Ooltewah. The Alabama-signee racked up 3,143 points.
