Friendship boys defeat Casdcade
WATERTOWN - Friendship Christian's Commanders scored a victory over Cascade 50-45 in the Watertown Chamber of Commerce Christmas Classic Saturday.
The win moves the Commanders to 4-1 on the season.
Friendship got behind early and were trailing 14-7 as the first quarter came to a close.
"We started a little sluggish," Commander coach Matt Bradshaw said. "But we managed to come back in the second quarter."
The half ended in favor of the Commanders 26-25 before they widened the margin a bit in the second half.
"We forced some turnovers," Bradshaw said.
Leading the way for Friendship was Michael Teeter with 23 points. Adam Stephens put in nine, John Hatcher eight, Garrett McKnight six and John Doak four.
For Cascade, Seth Davis had 14 points and Brandon Hall 11.
The Commanders host Eagleville Thursday.
