FCS ladies earn MTSCA All-Academic team honors

Four Friendship Christian players have been named to the All-Middle Tennessee Softball Coaches Association All-Academic team.
Senior pitcher Carrie Fry made the team with a 4.0 grade-point avearage. Junior pitcher Hailey Rutledge and senior second baseman Kelcey Lee have 3.9s and senior catcher Jessi Couch a 3.89.
To make the team, players have to be a junior or senior with a 3.75 or above career GPA.
Friendship, coming off a third-place finish in the MTSCA tournament [finishing behind Class AAA teams], will bring an 8-3 recortd into today's 4:30 p.m. District 8-A tilt with visiting Westmoreland. Monday's scheduled game at Davidson Academy was postponed until April 27 following the death of a DA student in a chain saw accident.
