CU ladies slip to 11th
Cumberland dropped three spots to No. 11 in the latest NAIA women's basketball rating released Wednesday.
A 90-77 setback to Trevecca, which shot up five spots to No. 9, last Saturday apparently was the undoing of the Lady Bulldogs, who beat Lambuth last Thursday. They also knocked off Bethel on Monday, though that game was played after voting for this week was completed.
Cumberland will carry a 13-3 record (3-2 in the TranSouth Conference) to Mayfield, Ky., tonight for a 6 p.m. game against new league member Mid-Continent at Mayfield High School.
CU's men suffered a come-from-ahead 73-72 setback at Bethel on Monday to fall to 9-7, 1-4. The Bulldogs will also be at Mid-Continent tonight.
