Commander tennis slams Macon County

Friendship Christian was doubly successful in their season-opening trip to Lafayette, with the boys and girls teams each taking victories. The girls won 6-3, with Paige Watson, Christen Tressler, Amanda Ferrell and Katie Mitchell notching wins in singles. Watson and Tressler as well as Ferrell and Ashley Ayub teamed up for doubles wins.
On the boys side of the court, it was a 9-0 sweep for the Commanders. Dillon Bane, Andrew Neely, Jordan Huddleston, Hunter Harwell, Jonathan Huddleston and Michael Smith all winning singles matches. The three doubles pairs of Bane and Neely, Harwell and Smith and the Huddleston brothers also swept their matches.
Saints netters drop pair to Bison
Mt. Juliet Christian's tennis teams each lost squeakers to Station Camp. The boys (1-3) were defeated 4-3, with Josh McKenzie and Andrew Ziady winning their singles match, as well as a doubles match as partners. Steve Connor and Greg Thorpe won their doubles match as well.
The girls team (0-4) lost 5-4. Kate Walker and Cindy Overstreet took singles' victories. Walker teamed with Chelsea Mobley to take a doubles win, as did the combination of Overstreet and Harwell.
