Blue Devils take out Green Wave
Lebanon's Blue Devils scored a home victory over Gallatin's Green Wave 54-48 Saturday to move to 5-3 on the season.
The contest remained close throughout as both teams battled back and forth and were deadlocked at 14 to end the first quarter of play.
"It was a great team effort, I'm proud of the way the guys played," Blue Devil coach Doug Keil said.
The halftime buzzer rang and Lebanon was down by a point, 25-24 before returning the favor in the third and gaining the advantage 44-43.
"It was great to bounce back after Friday's loss," Keil noted.
O'Keefe McCarver led all scorers with 21 points and two 3-pointers. Connor Burger put in 17 points, Hershal McCathern added eight, Ken Walton and Terrence Logue tossed in three each and Alex Johnson two.
For the Green Wave, Michael Sweet tossed in 16 and Marsallis Malone added 13.
Lebanon hosts White County Tuesday following the girls game, with tip-off at 6:30.
