Lady Bears rally past Wilson Central

GLADEVILLE — Mt. Juliet came from behind to overtake host Wilson Central 10-25, 15-25, 26-24, 25-10, 15-12 Tuesday night.

Madison Matthews led the Lady Bears with 23 digs while Zoe Hayes had 15 assists, Carson Van Hoven 14 kills, Madison Phillips seven blocks and Amber Ehrhart five aces as Mt. Juliet improved to 17-12 for the season and 5-2 in District 9-AAA.

Nicole Brill led the Lady Wildcats with 10 digs, seven kills, two aces, two assists and a block while Emilee McDonald totaled 25 assists, nine digs, three blocks and a kill; Kathryn Bean 11 kills, seven blocks and two digs; Sydney McClure 10 kills, two assists and a dig; Hannah Potts six kills, three blocks and two digs; Grayce Guethlein 16 digs and three aces, Hope Davidson four digs and an ace and Hailey Hunter four digs as Central slipped to 10-10, 4-3.

Wilson Central won the freshman match 22-25, 25-16, 15-13 before Mt. Juliet took the junior-varsity set 22-25, 25-20, 15-6.

Mt. Juliet will play host to Lebanon for senior night at 6 p.m. Thursday. The freshmen will serve off at 4 and the junior varsity at 5. Wilson Central is scheduled to play host to Smyrna at the same time.
