Charis Golf Tournament May 23

Charis Health Center will hold its second annual Chip-in 4 Charis Golf Tournament on May 23 at Five Oaks. Golfers and sponsors are invited to participate. To register as either, visit www.charishealthcenter.org or phone 615-773-5785. Registration will begin at noon with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

LHS volleyball tryouts May 23-24

Tryouts for the 2016 Lebanon High volleyball team will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. May 23-24 in the LHS gym. Players must have a physical dated after April 15 to try out. Travel team soccer tryouts May 23-24

Tryouts for the Lebanon/Wilson United ’05 boys select soccer team for the fall 2016 and spring ’17 seasons will be conducted May 23-24 in Lebanon. MJ Middle basketball camp May 25-27

The 15th annual Mt. Juliet Middle School Lady Bears Basketball Camp for ages 6-14 will be held from 10 a.m.-noon May 25-27 at Tommy Martin Gym. Cost is $65 per camper. CU football hosting Thursday Night Lights camp

Cumberland football will host a Thursday Night Lights camp on May 26 from 6-9 p.m. at Nokes-Lasater Field for rising freshmen to rising seniors. Cost is $30 per camper if registered by May 20 and $40 after that date. Campers will go through drills at their selected positions with Cumberland staffers and current players. The Nokes-Lasater facility includes a game field as well as two 70-yard practice fields, ample space for players and coaches to get plenty of work done during the three-hour period. Campers must bring a helmet, cleats and tennis shoes for the workouts. Helmets may be rented for $15 as well. Check-in for camp begins at 5:30 p.m. at Nokes-Lasater Field, which is located at 418 Harding Drive in Lebanon. Sign-up and pay for the camp at www.CumberlandCamps.com. CU soccer hosting pair of summer camps

Cumberland University soccer coaches Rory O’Connor and Adam Grant will offer a pair of camps for boys and girls this summer at Lindsey Donnell Stadium-Kirk Field, with both camps taking place June 6-10 for ages 8-12 and 13-18. Camp for ages 4-12 runs from 9-11:30 a.m. daily and ages 13-18 takes place from 5:30-8 p.m. for passing, receiving, dribbling and shooting instruction. CU baseball camps begin June 6

Four different Cumberland University baseball camps will take place throughout the month of June this summer beginning June 6 on the CU campus and running until the end of the month. Cumberland will hold two sessions of hitting Camp, both from June 6-9. The morning session (9 a.m.-noon each day) is for ages 6-9 while the afternoon session (1-4 p.m.) will offer instruction to ages 10-12. Cost is $100 per camper for each session. The second option, an all-day fundamental camp, runs from June 13-16 for ages 8-14. The four-day camp lasts from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day and costs $180 per camper. Lunch will also be provided to each camper. A pitching camp for ages 8-14 from 9 a.m. until noon on June 20-23 costs $100 per camper. The advanced fundamental camp will also takes place June 20-23 from 1-4 p.m. each day for ages 13-18. Cost is $100 per camper. Cumberland basketball set for two summer camps

Cumberland basketball will host a pair of summer camps at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center during the month of June, with a combined volleyball/basketball camp set for June 13-16 and a basketball only camp taking place June 27-30. The combined volleyball and basketball camp for grades K-6 is set for June 13-16 from 9 a.m.-noon each day and costs $80 per camper. Fundamentals of volleyball and basketball will be taught by Cumberland coaches and players through games and structured instruction. Basketball camp for ages 6-13 will be held June 27-30 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily and costs $125 per camper before June 1 and $150 after that. Mt. Juliet High girls’ basketball camp June 15-17

Phoenix holding slate of volleyball camps

Cumberland volleyball coach Kathy Slaughter has announced her 2016 camp dates, which includes college prep clinics on June 11 and July 16, individual camp on June 20-21, grades 4-8 on June 11 as well and a combined basketball and volleyball camp set for June 13-16 at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center. The college prep clinics are for high school players and costs $45 per person. The June 11 event takes place from 9-11 a.m. and July 16 is from 1-3 p.m. The fundamental camp for grades 4-8 is set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on June 11 and includes Cumberland coaches and players teaching fundamentals to elementary and middle school players. Cost is $45 per person. The individual camp takes place June 20-21, with middle school and high school ages from 8-11 a.m. each day Choose one day or both, with cost $45 per day or $95 for both days. The combined volleyball and basketball camp for grades K-6 is set for June 13-16 from 9 a.m.-noon each day and costs $80 per camper.
