Injury-ravaged Lebanon knocked out of tournament by Smyrna

SMYRNA — Lebanon lost a battle of attrition Tuesday night as Smyrna ended the Lady Devils’ season with a 5-1 win in the District 9-AAA tournament.

LHS was without senior Allison Burruss to an ACL injury sustained in the recent regular-season tie with Smyrna. Senior Danielle Redmond went out early in the tournament game with a back injury and freshman Isabella Simmons was sidelined in the first half with a knee injury.

The Lady Bulldogs led 2-0 at halftime and 3-0 in the second before Jaleste Bryson scored for Lebanon.

Molly McElhiney had several saves for Lebanon as she was under siege in net.

Eight seniors played their final game for Lebanon.
