Calvin P. Turner

The family of Mr. Turner will be receiving friends Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon. The funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Ted Bane and David Gilliam, is Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Interment in Drury Cemetery in Lafayette will follow the service.

Calvin Turner, age 70, passed away March 11, 2017.     

Mr. Turner was a longtime member of the Presbyterian faith. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. He studied law at the University of Memphis, Humphries School of Law in Memphis. He was formerly city attorney of Lebanon and a city judge at Mt. Juliet. After retirement, he received his license to auctioneer from Reppert School of Auctioneering and worked for Jim Stevens Realty and Auction Co. He then began his own auctioneering company, known as Professional Auction Group.

Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Joyce Ragland Turner; children, Matthew (Stacia) Turner, Nathan Turner, Allison (Andy) Cox; grandchildren Maddie Jo Cox, Maverick Cox; and siblings, Bill Turner, Jerry Turner, Kathy Price, Mark Turner, Janet Turner, and Joe Turner. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Nancy Pruitt Turner. 

Arrangements are by Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon.
