Chamber recognizes golf scramble sponsors

The Lebanon-Wilson County Chamber of Commerce will hold the annual Dr. Cary Harbrecht Memorial Chamber Summer Scramble and Golden Heroes Classic on Monday at Five Oaks Golf & Country Club.

Chamber official offered thanks to the Dr. Cary Harbrecht Memorial Chamber Summer Scramble’s title sponsor Wilson Bank & Trust, the Golden Heroes Classic sponsor American National Home Health, the tournament’s hole-in-one sponsors Hot Springs Spas of Music City, Wilson County Motors and J.M. Insurance and the sponsor appreciation reception host ProEquities.

The Golden Heroes Classic will begin at 7 a.m. with seniors and veterans playing 18 holes. The classic will be played in a four-person scramble format. Participation fees are $60 per player or $240 per team. On behalf of the chamber and Golden Heroes Classic sponsor American National Home Health, a donation will be made to the Wilson County Veterans Plaza from the tournament’s proceeds.

The afternoon tournament, which will also be a four-person scramble format, will begin with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Participation fees are $125 per player or $500 per team. 

Hot Springs Spas of Music City’s hole-in-one competition will be played on No. 13 for the chance to win a new hot tub. Wilson County Motors’ hole in one competition will be played on No. 16 for the chance to win a new car. J.M. Insurance’s competition will be played on No. 3 for the chance to win $10,000.

Title sponsor Wilson Bank & Trust is a hometown financial institution, which opened its doors for the first time May 11, 1987. The bank operated from a small two-bedroom house on the former campus of Castle Heights Military Academy, but has grown exponentially during the years and now provides personal and professional banking in a hometown setting with 26 locations.  

Title sponsor American National Home Health has served Wilson County for six years and provides nursing, therapy and care services in 13 Tennessee counties.

Additional tournament sponsors include hole sponsors Cedarstone Bank, First Freedom Bank, Liberty State Bank, Hydro-Care, John Foutch, CPA, Tennova Health Care, Bentley’s Lebanon and Alex Araujo, Venue 142 and Tressler Title. 

Lunch and dinner sponsors include Chik-Fil-A Lebanon, Lochinvar, Tressler & Associates, LoJac Materials, Walmart, Dunkin Donuts, Kroger and Publix. 

The putting contest sponsor is Beauty Boutique, and the driving Miss Daisy sponsor is RMA Rochelle, McCulloch and Aulds.

Hospitality sponsors include Elmcroft of Lebanon, Patriot Dental, Tennessee Orthopedics, Anytime Fitness and TownPlanner. The mulligans sponsor is Austermiller Roofing. 

The closest to the pin sponsors include Modern Woodmen and Rose Tire. The longest drive sponsor is Southeast Impressions. The straightest drive sponsor is Cumberland University. 

The driving range sponsor is F&M Bank, the monster drive sponsor is ABRA Auto Body, and the green sponsor is Jewell Insurance; 

Half-hole sponsors include the Whip Crackin’ Rodeo, Dugdale Properties, First Insurance Group – Jeff Brown, Porter Dentistry, Jewell Signs, Kraft CPAs, Larry Maynard Allstate, Lee and Lee Attorneys at Law, Powell and Meadows, PFP, Royce Belcher, Sellars Funeral Homes, ServPro of Wilson County, Wes Dugan – Farm Bureau, Wilkies Outfitters and Buckeye Drugs.

Harbrecht became a member of the Lebanon-Wilson County Chamber of Commerce in 1972. He served on the board of directors and as vice president of membership from 1984-85. He served on the general service committee and was founder and chairman of the Lebanon-Wilson County Chamber Golf Tournament. 

Harbrecht died about two weeks prior to the first tournament. The chamber board passed a resolution in his memory to name the tournament “the Dr. Cary Harbrecht Memorial Golf Tournament.”
