Kohanski keeps spot on ‘The Voice’

A Lebanon local, Chloe Kohanski, 23, won her battle round Tuesday night on NBC’s ‘The Voice.’

Kohanski competed against Iliana Viramontes as they both sang ‘I am Woman’ by Helen Reddy, a pop song released in 1972. Their team’s coach, Miley Cyrus, chose Kohanski over Viramontes to stay on the team.

Kohanski will now advance to the knockout rounds. During the knockout rounds artists are paired against someone on their team, but instead of singing together, the artists perform a song of their own choosing individually.

Before the final phase of the show, the remaining 24 artists compete in the playoffs in hopes to secure a spot in the live shows.

‘The Voice’ has won four Emmys for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program. Watch out for Kohanski’s next performance on ‘The Voice’ Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on NBC.
