Cumberland University’s Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions announced Wednesday the annual “Notes for Nurses” fundraiser will be held September 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lebanon Municipal Airport – LoJac Hangar.

The evening will start with a VIP pre-event reception to be held at the new airport terminal. Headlining this year’s event will be Jonell Mosser, a popular and much loved Nashville songstress. There will be a cocktail reception with cash bar, dinner, live music, dancing and live auction.

This year’s event co-chairs are Jodi Pennington, Vice President of operations for American National Home Health based in Lebanon, and Pam McAteer, a Partner & Consultant with Dental Group Transformations of Nashville. The honorary chair of the event is Dr. Cristy Stumb, a CU alumna and former faculty member, who now owns and operates Stumb Healthcare Professionals, a primary care clinic in Carthage.

Proceeds from the event will help fund nursing scholarships and high-tech simulation equipment to train students.

Over the past four years, the event has drawn 1,600 guests with 250 student and community volunteers. Notes for Nurses raised more than $200,000 in support for scholarships and simulation equipment for the Cumberland University School of Nursing. Funds raised from the event allowed the purchase of a mother-birthing simulator and a child simulator.

Table sponsorships are available for $500 for table of 8 guests; $750 for a VIP table of 8 guests, which includes VIP reception prior to main event at 5:30 p.m. An ‘After Party’ will take place in the LoJac hangar with DJ music provided by Hawk Specialties and snacks.

Tickets are $50 for general admission; $75 general/VIP reception admission.
