The play is directed by John Carpenter. Tennessee stage veteran Elliot Winston Robinson will play Scrooge.

Robinson has performed in “The Color Purple,” “Dream Girls,” “Smokey Joe’s Cafe,” “The Piano Lesson,” “A Raisin in the Sun” and “To Kill a Mockingbird,” among others.

Carpenter said it’s been a decade since the characters of Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, Scrooge and Jacob Marley have appeared on the stage of the only theater in Old Hickory.

“It has been 10 years since A Christmas Carol has been on the Lakewood stage, and we are excited to bring it back with a very talented cast,” Carpenter said.
