Nov. 4

Life Church

The free clothing store will be open Friday from 9 a.m. until noon at Life Church at 3688 Hwy. 109 in Lebanon. Clothes and accessories will be available for men, women and children. 

 

Nov. 5

Immanuel Baptist Church

In honor of Veterans Day, Immanuel Baptist Church is partnering with the Wilson Warriors Foundation to place flags on every veteran’s graveside at Cedar Grove Cemetery and Wilson County Memorial Gardens, many of which have never had one. Operation Appreciation will be Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at the Owen’s Building. This is an opportunity for families to participate together in a service that honors those who have served the country. Families are asked to bring a broom and an electric drill, if possible, as the ground is hard and holes will need to be drilled for the flags. 

 

Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church

Nov. 6

New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church

The male chorus will celebrate its 16-year anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m. at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Male choruses from the surrounding area will be featured as guests. 

Anchor Counseling Seminar

Anchor Counseling, a ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church, will hold a seminar Sunday from 2-4 p.m. or Nov. 15 from 6-8 p.m. at 215 Wildwood Ave. in Lebanon. The seminar will feature video interviews with counselors, grief experts and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death and who offer practical suggestions and reassurance. Those who attend will receive a Survival Guide filled with practical tips, encouraging words, journaling ideas and exercises for daily help through the holiday season. The cost is $5 for the book. College Hills Church of Christ

Overflow Sunday will be Sunday at College Hills Church of Christ in Lebanon. Jason Bybee, preaching minister at Mayfair Church of Christ, will be the guest speaker. In conjunction, the church will hold a ministry fair to offer an opportunity to learn about numerous lives impacting College Hills ministries. The ministry fair begins at 9 a.m. and worship service will follow at 10 a.m. in the worship center. A catered fellowship meal will follow. 

Nov. 12

Life Church

An all-you-can-eat catfish and chicken buffet with a comedy show by Christian comedian Aaron Wilburn will be Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. at Life Church at 3688 Hwy. 109 in Lebanon. All of the funds raised will benefit the Nashville Dream Center to help it continue to provide for the under-resourced of the Middle Tennessee region. The funds will be used to provide groceries, school supplies Christmas gifts, mentoring for at-risk children, supplies for the homeless and other ministries. Tickets are $25 each, and the event will be catered by Uncle Bud’s restaurant. There will also be a silent auction. Crafters are sought for a Christmas bazaar Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Donelson. West Hills Baptist Church

Sunday school begins each week at 9:15 a.m. for all ages at West Hills Baptist Church. The morning worship service follows at 10:30 a.m. in the worship center. During the Sunday morning worship time, West Hills also provides an opportunity for preschool-age children to experience a time of activity and Bible story each week, as well as KidsWorship for school-age children. On Sunday evenings at 5 p.m., West Hills has Bible drill for children, as well as adult discipleship classes, which vary according to topic. The evening service begins at 6 p.m. in the chapel.
