A three-car wreck on West Baddour Parkway in Lebanon stalled traffic for about an hour Friday afternoon.

According to Lebanon police Officer Steve Green, the three vehicles – a 2012 Kia Sorrento driven by Gloria Cowen of Chestnut Mound, a 2013 Toyota RAV4 driven by Patricia Allen of Alexandria and a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Stephen Franks of Lebanon – were all traveling westbound on West Baddour Parkway by Don Fox Park at about 3:10 p.m.

“Mr. Franks stopped behind congested traffic, and Ms. Allen stopped behind Mr. Franks. Ms. Cowen approached from the rear, failing to stop in time,” said Green.

He said Cowen’s vehicle hit Allen’s, knocking Allen’s vehicle into the back of Frank’s.

“Mr. Franks was transported to [University Medical Center] with minor injuries possible,” said Green.

Cowen’s and Allen’s vehicles both received significant damages, but Green said the damages are fairly representative of vehicles traveling at 40-45 miles per hour, the speed limit posted in that stretch of road.

Everyone was wearing a seatbelt, and no one was cited.

“Nothing serious came out of it,” said Green.
