Deputies also charged Shawn McCaleb, 31, with aggravated burglary and evading arrest. He was booked in at the Wilson County Jail, where he remained Wednesday evening on $10,500 bond.
Detectives didn’t release a lot of information on the case due to the ongoing investigation. The incident took place in the early morning hours.
“We’re still investigating the incident and conducting more in-depth background interviews with the victim and offender,” said Detective Maj. Robert Stafford. “It is believed that the suspect was under [the influence of] heavy narcotics at the time of the incident.”
