At Fontanel, every bride can work with one. Fontanel’s Vance Nichols has designed for stars such as Dolly Parton, Donna Summer, Natalie Cole, Joyce Dewitt, Barbara Mandrell, Big Kenny, Connie Brittan, Kelly Clarkson, Oprah, Joe Diffie, Kenny Chesney, Loretta Lynn, Jake Owen, Charles Esten, Craig Campbell and Diamond Rio.
“My grandmother introduced me to floral design as a small child, and the passion continued into high school, where I took classes and worked at a florist locally,” said Nichols. “I have studied the work of celebrity designers David Tutera and Preston Bailey for weddings and events, and upon moving to Nashville recognized that there was no one using that unique big city style here. I shop local where I can, but source my flowers and décor from all over the world in order to make just the right statement. Having done so much work for Dolly Parton when in East Tennessee, it did not take long for word of mouth to spread, and my first celebrity wedding was for the son of Barbara Mandrell. I guess it snowballed from there. Helping design a wedding here at Fontanel is like I have an imagination playground. I study what most brides and grooms share on Pinterest, spend time with them…however long it takes, until I know exactly what it will take to create for them their own fairytale wedding.”
“I have been working in the hospitality industry for over 10 years in Nashville,” said Lauren Stout, Fontanel’s director of sales, “and have yet to encounter a wedding venue location that offers this caliber of service to their brides. Coupled with the numerous stunning wedding location options on our vast 220-acre property inclusive of the Fontanel Mansion, The Inn at Fontanel, Natchez Hills Winery, our Amphitheater, or a cozy outdoor setting in the Grove, the chance to work with a celebrity designer is what truly sets Fontanel apart in the wedding business.”
