No injuries were reported in a barn fire at 3675 Gwynn Road early Sunday morning, according to Joey Cooper, director of the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency.

WEMA firefighters responded at approximately 1:19 a.m. The caller stated that an old barn was on fire in the woods about 50 yards from a house. The caller also said that people were getting out of the house and there was a propane tank near the house.

When crews arrived, they reported a moderate-sized barn fully involved in fire. Crews began to extinguish fire at the barn and in a small portion of woods that was also on fire.

The barn apparently stored old rolls of hay. The cause and origin of the fire is undetermined at this time, Cooper said.

Crews were on the scene for about three hours. Officials from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
