Mt. Juliet firefighters were able to quickly stop a vehicle and small building fire reported at Greenhill Trailer Park on Monday morning, according to fire Chief Jamie Luffman.

“The owner went out to his truck, and as soon as he started the ignition, flames came up on the dashboard,” Luffman said.

The truck was parked right next to a storage shed outside of a home, and fire quickly spread to the shed.

“It was within arm’s length,” Luffman said of the distance between the truck and the shed.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The driver in the truck called in the fire.

Firefighters responded after getting the call from dispatch, and they were able to put the fire out before it spread to the home or any other nearby areas.

“We were able to put a quick stop to it,” Luffman said.
