Mt. Juliet firefighters save home, pets

Firefighters with the Mt. Juliet Fire Department quickly extinguished a fire on Brighton Circle on Tuesday morning, according to officials with the fire department. 

The home, and pets that were in the home, were saved. Chief Jaime Luffman was seen carrying out a dog that was found inside the home.

According to Lt. Tyler Chandler of the Mt. Juliet Police Department, a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the home and reported the fire. The fire department responded quickly after getting the call from dispatch.

Crews remained on-scene after the fire was extinguished to check for hot spots and clean up the area. 

Brighton Circle, between Devonshire Drive and Brownstone Street, was temporarily closed while firefighters fought the fire.
