Thursday marks the third and final edition of the Jammin’ with the General concert series this summer on the square in downtown Lebanon.

The free concert, hosted by the Lebanon/Wilson County Chamber of Commerce, starts at 7 p.m., but beforehand there will be a Late Night Lebanon shopping event to showcase the local businesses on the square at 6 p.m.

In addition to live music and local businesses, there will also be food trucks on-site. The event is set to last until about 9 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, bring lawn chairs and stake a spot to enjoy the evening of entertainment.

“It’s a fun, kick-up-your-heels event,” Jennifer Folsom of the chamber of commerce said. “People are arriving at about 6 o’clock, or a little earlier, settling in and meeting up with friends, getting their spot, getting dinner.”

Four on the Floor is the band that will be performing Thursday evening. They will perform a broad range of music, spanning several decades of hit songs.

According to Folsom, the Jammin’ with the General events usually see a good turnout, and members of the chamber are hoping for another good evening.

“Like with any event, it varies with the weather, with other community events going on at the same time,” Folsom said. “We think it’s a lot of fun, and a lot of people will enjoy it.”
