Vol State academic sneak peek upcoming

Staff Reports • Updated Mar 16, 2017 at 5:30 PM

Picking a college major can seem complicated, especially for high school students who haven’t settled on a career path.

Volunteer State Community College has an event that could help. The 2017 academic sneak peek will allow students to explore what Vol State has to offer. That means asking questions and talking to the faculty in the academic areas. The event could be especially helpful for Tennessee Promise students, but everyone is welcome to attend. Vol State has academic programs in more than 90 degree areas. Many programs are designed for university transfer. Others prepare students for direct entry into the workplace.

The academic sneak peek will be March 28 and March 30 from 5:30-8 p.m. on the Vol State Gallatin campus at 1480 Nashville Pike. People are asked to pick a date and register at volstate.edu/promise. Refreshments will be served, and the college will also hold door prizes during the event. On March 30, the paralegal studies program will hold an open house in conjunction with the sneak peek. It will be from 6-7 p.m. in Caudill Hall room 102.

Volunteer State Community College has more than 90 programs of study and offers two-year degrees, certificates and paths to university transfer. Continuing education and workforce development extend the college mission to the entire community. For more information, visit volstate.edu.
