Joseph Hendry is scheduled to appear in Wilson County criminal court May 23. Judge Brody Kane granted a continuance on Hendry’s previous court date, March 6.
Hendry, 21, pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of first-degree murder and assault, and his trial was originally set to take place in January. He was arrested in 2015.
Earlier this year, Lebanon police charged three other people who are also suspected in the crime.
Marvin Andre Bryant, 20, was arrested in February and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, four counts of aggravated assault and one count of criminal attempt to commit murder. Bryant pleaded not guilty to all charges. A hearing is scheduled in Bryant’s case in criminal court Monday.
Timothy Lorenzo Wade, 25, was charged with first-degree murder, premeditated first-degree murder and aggravated assault. He is scheduled to appear before Kane on Monday for arraignment.
Bailey Alexander Underwood, 20, was charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence. He is scheduled to appear before Judge John Wootten on March 27 for arraignment.
Patton died in January 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center a few days after she received a single gunshot wound while sleeping during a drive-by shooting incident while at her grandmother’s home in Lebanon.
U.S. marshals arrested Hendry the following week in Brentwood. He is held in Riverbend Maximum Security Institution without bond. A Wilson County grand jury returned a six-count indictment on Hendry in 2015.
