In its annual Best Places to Live report for 2017, realtor.com ranked Lebanon the 34th best place to live in the United States.

The list, put together by realtor.com and Money, a subsection of Time news, annually ranks the top 100 cities in the country in terms of healthy economies, affordable homes and a high quality of life.

The list praised Lebanon for its walkable streets, historic districts with buildings dating back to the 1800s and its spot on the Music City Star rail line.

Also mentioned was the fact that Lebanon is home to restaurant chain Cracker Barrel, as well as antique shops and local stores, some of which are found at the historic Mill.

Unemployment in the city is described as modest, and Moody’s Analytics predicts a 10.5-percent increase in the number of jobs between 2016 and 2021.

Lebanon was one of just four Tennessee cities to make the list with Franklin coming in at No. 4, Brentwood at 21 and Smyrna at 31.
