Students graduate from basic training

Gomar graduates from basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman Franklin E. Gomar graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Gomar is a 2016 graduate of Lebanon High School.

Smith graduates from basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Ethan K. Smith graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Smith earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Tasha D. Eldridge, of Lebanon, and Lee M. Smith, of Antioch, and grandson of Steve H. Kyle, of Mt. Juliet.

The airman graduated in 2015 from Wilson Central High School.
