Johnson crowned Miss MTEMC 2014

Brentwood’s Sarah Johnson was crowned Miss Middle Tennessee Electric 2014 Saturday at the cooperative’s annual meeting, held at Embassy Suites Murfreesboro – Hotel and Conference Center. 

The daughter of Kinnie and Barbara Johnson, of Brentwood, will have the choice of $1,000 cash or a trip to Washington D.C., valued at about $1,200, as part of the 2014 National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Youth Tour. Ravenwood High School Yearbook Club sponsored Johnson.

First alternate in the pageant was Lebanon’s Caroline Hendrick, daughter of John and Kim Hendrick. Sponsored by Lebanon High School Health Occupation Students of America, Hendrick won $500. 

Second alternate was Josie Gregory, of Mt. Juliet. The daughter of Joe and Cheryl Gregory was sponsored by Leeville FCE Club, and won $200. 

The pageant was is a part of the annual meeting of members and was open to contestants 16 to 21 from across the service territory.
