Liberty State Bank recently announced the promotion of Chris Crowell to market president for the Lebanon and Wilson county community.

Crowell will be responsible for all commercial and retail banking activity in the market, including both the North Cumberland Street and West Main Street offices in Lebanon.

“We have an exciting opportunity to expand our approach of community banking in a growing and thriving community,” Crowell said.

Crowell has more than 20 years of banking experience in this market and served as manager and commercial lender for Liberty State Bank for the past six years. A native of Lebanon, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in business administration from Cumberland University.

Crowell has a broad range of community service, currently serving as city councilor for Ward 4. He is a member and past president of the Lebanon Breakfast Rotary Club, Lebanon-Wilson County Library Board and lay leader at First United Methodist Church. He is past chairman and board member for the Lebanon-Wilson County Chamber of Commerce, past chairman of the United Way of Wilson County and involved with the Middle Tennessee Boy Scouts of America.

He and his wife, Amanda, live in Lebanon, where she is a partner in the law firm of Kane and Crowell. The couple has two children, Maggie and Ethan.

“Chris is an outstanding leader for our company and the Lebanon community,” said Mike Robbins, executive vice president and north regional manager with Liberty State Bank. “I look forward to working with him as we grow our bank and team in this important market. We have a strong team of existing bank employees who do a wonderful job of providing leading financial services to our customers, and with this expansion of Chris’ leadership role, I know our success will accelerate.”
