The newly-renovated branch, which reopened July 26 after the 11-day construction project, has a completely new look and features a customer-centric design with private offices, digital display boards and a lobby area where customers can do their banking away from the entry area at the front of the retail store.
On the technology side, the branch now uses two teller cash recycler (TCR) machines to make transactions more efficient, and an ATM upgrade later this month will allow customers to deposit checks through an automated system.
“We’ve already received lots of positive feedback from customers, and in addition to the physical improvements that are evident when you step into the new space, we’re equally excited about the behind-the-scenes capabilities that help us serve our customers better,” said Wilson Bank & Trust CEO Randall Clemons. “Our Walmart office has always provided the full range of financial services just like our other locations, and the renovated branch allows our staff to provide everything from checking accounts to business loans with more comfort, space and privacy.”
In addition to the bank’s original area in Walmart, the expansion project utilized another tenant space next door, bringing the new floor space to 981 square feet.
The branch also has later business hours than other Wilson Bank offices because of its location inside a retail store.
