In its 2016 third-quarter issue containing a financial institution scorecard, the industry publication rated Wilson Bank & Trust 10th overall among institutions with assets between $1-5 billion, a jump of 5 spots from last year’s 15th–place national ranking. Based on profitability, capital adequacy and asset quality, Bank Director’s performance criteria place Wilson Bank in exclusive company locally, as Wilson Bank was the only in-state bank listed among the top 50 in its size range, and one of only two Tennessee banks in the top 160 for that category.
“We’re blessed to be an independent community bank with capabilities that rival most larger institutions,” said Randall Clemmons, Wilson Bank & Trust chairman and CEO. “Tremendous support from the customers and communities we serve continues to give us great stability and opportunities to grow.”
In addition to the scorecard rating, Wilson Bank once again received the highest five-star rating from bank ratings firm Bauer Financial this spring, based on first-quarter financial data.
