Preacher's Corner: Let us cherish each day
Nov 13, 2015 at 6:00 PM
God grants each day with new mercies, new opportunities and new challenges, even though unfortunate situations happen in unexpected ways. We should cherish each day as golden moments to show our love for one another in this world as God intended for us to do as His disciples.
Constantly complaining, fussing and fighting, screaming at one another and disrespecting each other in whatever form, is not how we should live.
Putting aside our differences and learning to work together as a people in a mature way will not only please God, but will also make a better world in which to live.
This may not be the desire of all who live among us, but it’s our desire and responsibility as children of God to please God more rather than man.
Expressing the God kind of love – agape – which is unconditional will bring true meaning to the word of God that says that love covers a multitude of sins.
Our lives are too valuable and too precious to miss out on cherishing each other and cherishing each day to the fullest. We must stop wasting our time on senseless things that don’t matter and start being about our Father’s business.
There are too many souls dying without Christ and too many people sitting quietly in the shadows watching it all happen. We will give an account of these actions in the end.
Let us change our feelings from just another day to a day that really matters with Godly purpose. We must do all we can, what we can and while we can today and every day before it’s too late.
Our future depends on it. Let’s give God our best, and He’ll do the rest. Love life and enjoy it to the utmost, but do it God’s way. It’s the best way.
If tomorrow comes, what will you do with your day?
