Lebanon answers big inning with a bigger one

PIGEON FORGE — Lebanon survived a six-run Pigeon Forge second inning to outscore the Tigers 12-6 to wrap up the Playing For A Cure Classic.

The Blue Devils bounced back with eight runs in the third. Following a run-producing error, Dalton Squires doubled in two scores, Luke Bradshaw walked with the bases loaded, Ryan Smith singled in two more tallies and Felipe Juarez capped the uprising with an RBI groundout.

Squires had three of Lebanon’s 10 hits. Nick Sanders swiped four of the Blue Devils’ 10 stolen bases.

Pigeon Forge finished with six hits.

Lebanon will play host to Dyersburg at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Blue Devils’ home opener as the Wilson County Invitational gets under way at Brent Foster Field.
